Is insurance accepted?
Your invoice will include the Registration CRPO number for insurance purposes. Please verify your group or individual Psychotherapy coverage directly with your provider before your session.
Where do I park?
Parking is available at the Museum Lot at Waterloo Park (83 Erb St. W, Waterloo) or at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. Street parking is also available nearby. Please note that Creative Connections Therapy is not liable for any parking violations. Please park in accordance with all municipal bylaws.
Where do I go when I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your session — this gives you time to settle in. When you arrive, head to the front lobby and wait in the sitting area on the main level. Sessions are held in the penthouse on the top floor — last door to the left. Feel free to use the washroom and get comfortable before we begin. Washrooms are available on the main level and on the penthouse floor. Once you've signed up, you'll receive a buzz code by email to enter the building. An elevator is available for your convenience.
What if I'm running late?
We kindly ask that all participants arrive on time or 15 minutes early. Once the session doors are closed, they will not be reopened, as late arrivals can be disruptive to the group experience. If you know you're running late, please reach out ahead of time.
Where is the group held?
Sessions take place in the penthouse. Head to the front lobby when you arrive and wait there — someone will come to get you. Once upstairs, turn left and head to the last set of doors.
What should I expect in a session?
Come as you are! Every session starts with introductions, then we dive into a creative activity together. No art experience needed — ever. Sessions close with an optional group share. The vibe is warm, relaxed, and judgment-free.
What should I wear?
Wear something you don't mind getting a little messy — we work with paint and art supplies, and things can get wonderfully creative!
Do I need to bring anything?
Nothing at all! All art supplies are provided.
How do I pay?
Payment is collected securely at the time of booking. Simply add your credit card when signing up through the booking app — quick, easy, and handled all in one place.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule, for both in-person and online sessions. This allows us time to gather art supplies and offer your spot to someone on the waitlist. Late cancellations may forfeit the session fee.
A group I wanted to join says "Full" — what does that mean?
Groups have limited capacity and spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If a group is full, you're welcome to join the waitlist. Should a spot become available, it will be offered to the next person on the waitlist — also on a first-come, first-served basis. To avoid missing out, we recommend booking your preferred sessions in advance.
Are neurodivergent participants welcome?
Absolutely — neurodivergent minds are especially welcome at CCT. Sessions are designed to be low pressure, sensory-friendly, and inclusive for all.
What do I need for an online session?
You'll need a device with a camera and microphone (such as a phone, tablet, or laptop) and a stable internet connection. A quiet, private space where you feel comfortable is ideal. A link to join your session will be sent to you by email ahead of time.
What if I'd like more support beyond the group?
If you'd like to continue the conversation or explore things on a deeper level, individual one-on-one online therapy sessions are available with Evie. Sessions are offered in 25 or 50 minute formats, giving you a private and flexible space to work through whatever is coming up for you.
